I came across several different PCBs that have notes showing these are for Targ. I have never heard of the game and know nothing about it. Are there any Targ supporters out there that might be interested in the boards I have?

Here are the list of notes:

I remember seeing a Targ out on the porch of a house trailer in rural Florida, probably 30 years ago. Thought about knocking on the door to see if it was being thrown out, and then thought better of it...

Don't know TARG? How about SPECTAR? Both classics but not sure of the popularity of either with Collectors.
Anyway, the best part of TARG, like VENTURE, is the joystick. :)

Spectar is a lot better and is pretty much just a ROM swap and I think a few jumpers changed on the color board. It's also convertible to be the main board for a lot of Exidy games like Side Trak, Venture, Pepper II, etc.

One of my fellow staffers for CAX brings his Targ each year, and it's the one game that has been at every show since its inception (29 years now with show 30 coming next Summer!).

And I myself always look forward to playing it each time...it's such a simple yet completely fun/challenging game!

I can ask him if he might be interested in these boards...I guess PM and LMK and if so, I'll call him.

Classics both. Spectar was such an improvement. My local Y had a period where Exidy games were in the rotation. Targ was a mainstay in the gameroom for what seem like years but was probably 1 at most. Spectar came and blew every Targ fan away. A proper case of the sequel surpassing the original. Frenzy to Berzerk is an apt comparison on that front. Spectar stayed for a good while but we all wanted the big boy. Venture finally replaced them both. Those sticks...nothing like 'em.

I bought a Targ cabaret that I restored into a beautiful Venture cabaret.IMG_4332.jpeg

Thanks,
Jason
