"Perhaps the most exciting development from Tapper World Tour is that the game is being drawn and animated by the legendary Don Bluth, who has worked on countless classic animated films for studios such as Disney and Fox but is immediately recognized by gamers as the artist behind classic laserdisc arcade games Dragon's Lair and Space Ace."

Could have potential for a fun iPhone game.

Picked this up last night for 99 cents. Didn't get much time to play it, but it seemed like a well made updated version of the original.

It did not appear to have a classic mode in it, which would have made it better. For 99 cents, I'll get my money's worth of entertainment out of it, and then some.

I bought both the IPhone and IPad versions. The IPhone version is kind of hard to play with the small screen but it's really good on the IPad. Animation, music and gameplay is top notch. I love how you get three lives per level. If you serve too many beers or miss an empty mug you loose a life without the game stopping. Tips will earn extra lives. Another cool feature is you can start a show on the stage and the patrons will stop. This is similar to Tapper when you collect a tip. The difference is that you can keep serving them in World. The game gets crazy hard.

Only complaints are that it slows down sometimes and crashes a lot. It crashes about ever 3 levels so hopefully they'll fix it soon.

Mine hasn't crashed yet but check out what the menu screens show:

I haven't played it enough to see if it crashes because these little issues bother me. I think this issue exposes one of the major problems with iPhone gaming; In a rush to get the product out the door games are not thoroughly tested. Tapper is the only game to suffer this fate either and if you hit the App Store on your iPhone regularly you will see updates to games all the time. The update model is neat but companies really need to spend more time testing and perfecting their games.

I got it for the iPad. It's fun, the concept translates pretty well to a touch screen device. i haven't played it for more than 10 minutes in one stretch, but i haven't seen any crashes or glitches. I do wish there was a classic mode, with the original graphics. I'm surprised this game was made at all. I know we consider Tapper a classic, but do most people even know it existed?

This game is a lot of fun. I thought I was doing well until I got to Whistler in North America. Holy crap its insane!!

Problem with the graphics was solved with an update to the app that was released a few days ago.

I got this over the weekend. Absolutely excellent so far!

I can't help but wish the animation was a bit better, seems rushed from the artwork perspective, but the game play is fun and definitely harkens back to the original.

Same thing, it is really irrtating that some many games are iPad/iPhone only, these could easily be on Android too.

Ah I see I thought you had an iphone.. You know how it goes, develop for the platform with the most profit potential. I'm sure it gets developed for Android eventually.

Looks really cool. What an odd pairing. I wonder why Don Bluth got involved in this? Warner Bros.? I wonder who owns this IP now.

Finally got this over the weekend. Awesome game. LOVE it.
