I know this is going to end up screwing me in the end but i'm a bit curious why this is going for so cheap. I've spotted a tapper that will cost $350-$400 shipped to my door. Appears to be in good working order and art looks pretty good (a few pieces can be replaced eventually) but other than that it appears to play fine and monitor still looks good. Even has the little bud stickers on the tappers :) Is this a good deal?..am I a clown for not jumping on this?

Yes .

yea thats what I'm afraid of..this is my situation...I live in Manhattan..I have two cabinets here already..one more and my Fiance will kill me. My parents have offered to store all of my cabinets at their place until I move out of the city into the suburbs. Is this the type of deal i'll probably never find, or is this one a keeper and worth grabbing even if I know i'm not going to be able to play it work on it that often..unless I start visiting more haha

Well put it this way.....go put on a red curly wig and a big round red ball nose....

haha alright I guess I'm getting it then...honestly if I owned and moved out of the city already i would be skipping work and at home playing it right now. Have to wait till the summer of 2013 to move out so...got something to look forward to I guess

If your talking about the one on eBay thats a KLOVER's and location of auction on Saturday. It also has 21 hours left so the current 202 dollar bid is meaningless. If your talking about Cragislist I only see a cocktail table for 800.

talking about neither hah..family friend in MA, and 350-400 depending on if I meet him half way or he comes the full way

...and, after having typed this, you still hit "post"? :D

hah nah I noticed that one on ebay..screwed as in I'd be questioned why i'm picking up a third cabinet...that one on ebay doesnt have the bud stickers

sad to say a cocktail cabinet kit that I made (mame) and a custom made xbox 360 Showcase cabinet. I'd really like dedicated but space isn't really my friend right now. I've caught the classics bug and want to get my collection off the ground sooner than later so figured this would be a good start.

Are you ready for maintenance on a classic machine like Tapper? Prepared for downtime (not working)? `Cause it won't be anything like what you have now.

Tapper gameplay is also some of the most unique there is. Be sure you like it first, specifically using the real controls. It's not like MAME.

If all checks out and you still want the machine, you can say goodbye to both of the games you currently have, since you'll be picking up a second classic in no time.

played Tapper at Barcade in Brooklyn a few weeks ago...i'm hooked! Got it on my cocktail now but is nothing like the arcade. Yea i'm pretty good with it so far, learning the ins and outs as I go. Failed to mention I have a Pengo cabinet that i'm working to restore with my brother (held at my parents house) I know its a beast of its own and is almost as rewarding fixing it and getting it to work than actually playing it. I'm ready ;)

I would jump on that in a heartbeat, but then again I'm a Tapper fiend! They never seem to show up down here, and the prices I have seen online seem to be around the $800 - $1000 mark.

How about some pics after you pick it up?
