Tapper Brass Help

I am fixing up a friend's tapper machine a bit before I drop it off to him.

I repainted the cup holders and they turned out great, however the foot rest is another story.
It looks 100 times better than it did, it looked like iron pipe and now it actually looks like brass, just not as shiny as I think it should be. Brasso doesn't seem to be doing much more to it. A dremel polishing wheel doesn't help either. Any ideas? I think it'll look great right now on the machine, but if I can make it look even better for him, I'd like to.

Sorry these are fuzzy a bit, the humidity from inside to outside is messing with the camera I think.

Footrest Before: Note the end of the piece that was covered is shiny, the rest was black like an iron pipe.

If you have a corded drill you can buy a buffing wheel kit that comes with the rouge. Mount the drill in a vice and put it on high. Polish away. Nothing like a good buffing wheel for brass tube and parts. My foot rest came out great.
