So last night I plugged my tank II into a SI monitor (monitor was still in the SI).. And it worked!! so excited to actually see the game alive.. I didn't get any sound though.. This could be a few things:

1. I unplugged something
2. The volume pot wasnt turned up

Or 3. The SI doesnt have a sound amp installed on the chassis, like the original one in my tank II..

I've been told that the sound amp isn't used on a Tank II, is that true? If so, then this should be a somewhat easy monitor swap.. They are both 19".. But SI is verticle and tank is horizontal, so that might be a little challenge as the SI monitor frame will have to be swapped with the one in the tank.

Any comments or answers?

You should be able to tell by the plug going to the monitor in the Tank if it uses sound or not. I think its a 12 pin amp plug? Monitor uses 2 wires for video, 2 for juice and possibly one as a ground, so at a minimum, 4 (or 5) wires. If you see 8 or 9 wires (2 for audio in, 2 for audio out), then there's audio involved.

No amp

The speakers were disconnected.. Installed the yoke and chassis from the SI and the game fired up! Has some graphic glitches, but now I know it works.. The original tank tube has hardly any burn, game must have broke early in it's life.
