Looking to find someone that has a manual for the machine and can answer a few questions for what I hope is a simple fix.

Machine seems to all work fine except that only 2 out of ten times the claw will drop, otherwise it will just clasp and not drop and return home.

My speakers also seem to cut out and change volume and crackle.

Rope light on left side only have a few lights lit.

Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!

Can anyone give me an idea as to why the claw won't drop or lower and just squeeze and return home? Thanks

Check the basics... make sure the mechanism isn't jammed, the flexing wires aren't broken, the microswitches are good and not stuck or binding in the mechanisme, etc...

Dirty volume controls, bad caps, or bad connections to power and/or speakers can cause those audio issues. I'd recommend cleaning the volume control pot first then using an analog voltmenter on the +12v line to see if it's fluctuating and causing the audio issues. It's easier to see fluctuating voltage with a needle on an analog meter than with a digital one.

Thank you

Thanks RJ...I am guessing I should use a contact cleaner..but what if the 12V is fluctuating...what will that mean I need to replace? Thank you again for taking the time!

If the 12v is fluctuating then you take the power supply apart and look for the broken solder joints that need reflowing. ;)

Generally a switching power supply does not have a single output that fluctuates as all the outputs are related and should all do the same fluctuating... unless one output has some bad solder joints.
