FINALLY!!! This appears to be fixed!! I have said it before and it wasn't but this time it is looking very promising. Machine has been on for 24 hours with no reboots as far as I know (I need to review some overnight video footage). In the past if I left it on "reliably" after about 4-5 hours it would start rebooting continually until I unplugged it. This time like I said it has been on for 24 hours and is still acting normal. I will be doing a full write up on my website but for this forum here are the highview steps I took:
- 12v pin on jamma connector at very bottom of board can get burnt (I fixed it by globbing solder to extend the pin to allow connection on the connector)
- At J1 solder the last two ground pins together for better ground (I soldered a thicker cable here going to the ground of the power supply as well)
- Check your 5v cable going to the power supply (this was the reason for my voltage drop and the final fix for mine, connector was black)
- Check the connector at J1 (I bypassed it for the 12v, 5v, and ground by soldering a wire straight to the pins on the board)
- Zip tie the lockout coils (mine was already that way)
- Once all that is done I dialed in on the voltages at U9 like so:
- Turn machine on and at pin 10 and 20 at location U9 it should read between 5.3v and 5.4v (turn the knob up on your power supply till in range)
- Unplug the machine and plug back in and it would not boot (Voltage at U9 randomly changed which is odd. Dial it back down between 5.3v and 5.4v)
- Unplug the machine and plug back in and for me so far it is good to go.
Huge thanks to Scott (

Hope this helps someone and let me know if you have any questions.
