I have a DK Jr and I'm wanting to know what I need to do to use the edge connection instead of the individual connections, I would like to install two boards in the same cabinet if I can use the edge connection rather than the others.

Thanks..

The easiest way would be to find a DK3 harness, and swap it out. Other than that, I have heard rumors that an adapter for the little connectors to edge connector was in the works, but nothing ever became of it.

Best of luck with your project!!!

I just built a JAMMA adapter for testing DK boards on my bench using the edge connectors. Since I am not using a 20EZ on my bench, I have connectors coming off the adaptor to an inverter board, then back to the adaptor. I then learned from others here that I needed the 10-pin cable between the two boards for it to work using the edge connector. Everything works fine now...

That makes sense, I was wondering how the other board got its power.. I've never seen one with the edge setup.

I can't believe nobody has made an aftermarket harness for this application, seems like it would be a hot seller to me.

You could put a jamma harness in the cab in place of the original one and use a jamma adapter. Like Mod said you still will need the rainbow cable going from the cpu board to the video board. You will need to install a switching power supply I believe.
That is the way mine is.
I would only do this if you can't find a DK3 harness like Jow stated.
Here is couple pics on my DK.

Nothing ever became of it? Tell that to the whopping 3 people who actualyl bought them...

Do you use a Jamma switcher ?

Yes I used that "shitty" Jammaboards 6 in 1 switcher in the DK.
It is mounted under the coin box.
I haven't had any problems with the switcher.
I used a couple relays to cut the -5v to the slots, that require it, when they are not powered.
