I am having some issues with my TFTC pin I was hoping someone might have some insight into.

First, sometimes when you lose a ball it doesn't always recognize that you did. The trough switches and diodes are all new. I replaced several Molex connectors as well. It really seemed like it was the connectors at first but has started doing this again. There seems to be something loose on the left side of the machine. If you keep tapping the left flipper button after losing the ball it will finally end the round. Anyone have any ideas what else could be causing this? Like I said, seems like a wire, a connector, something, is loose.

Second, on the right ramp "Double Jackpot", you are to light up four items "Play The Organ", "Living Dead", "Chainsaw Mode", and "Grave Digger". But after losing a ball, it resets to the first one, "Living Dead", instead of keeping the progress you made in lighting them up. No idea why it does this. Just started doing it recently.

Any help/ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Issue one sounds like the switch isn't fully closing....thus, hitting the flippers repeatedly, causes enough vibration to finally "close" the switch. You probably need to adjust the switch so it "sits" up a little higher....Put the game in switch test mode.....and see if the switch is always closing when a ball sits on it.

Issue two sounds more like an internal "setting" adjustment. Do you have a manual? It will tell you if you have options to make that a "memory" setting...or a "reset" setting.

I have also had issues with the ball trough not being real smooth and having areas where the ball will get hung up on just enough to stop it from getting to the switch, then pressing the flipper or shaking the machine a bit would get the ball past the issue spot and hit the switch.

Well, I have replaced CPU batteries (eventhough they were only 3 weeks old), changed a ROM, factory reset, checked fuses, tried several things but I am still having weird happenings with the game features.

Now the "Creature Features" are acting erratically. You can lock a feature and it should stay locked, but after losing ball, the feature is unlocked for the next ball though it should still be locked. And occassionally when starting a new ball it reverts back to one of the Creature Features you had attempted to lock a few balls ago.

I did just change out all my bulbs to LEDs. Could this be causing an issue? CPU board problem? I don't know. First pin I have owned so I'm just learning the inner workings of these machines.

The LED's would not be the culprit, if anything LED's are relieving stress of the power supply and circuitry. Probably one of those Data East things. All manufacturer's have there flaws. Check your switches and make your adjustments. It's funny how there's alot of folks here on this web-site with your type machine, wish they would chime in and help you. Good luck.

Are you sure the feature is supposed to remain locked after a ball drain?
