How difficult is It to remove the glass from a Tron machine so I can clean the bottom of the glass and the monitor? Mine's looking pretty dirty and I'm not familiar with this yet.

Thanks in advance...

Very difficult. The entire shroud would have to be removed to do what you suggest.

Easier to just pull the monitor out the back and then clean the tinted plexi and tube. you can then clean the backside of the clear part of the shroud over the tube.

Since you'd have to remove the monitor to get the shroud out anyway (in order to get it out of the way so you can get all the other stuff out, too), just pull the monitor and clean it...

Thanks. It didn't look easy at first glance, thanks for confirming before I started unbolting stuff!!

and for the record, pulling the monitor isn't that much fun in a tron either.

Pfft. Unhook two connectors, remove one ground strap, take out four bolts (sometimes 6 if it has the side bracket), and pull.

Discharge first...

i disconnected the conrtrol panel latches, took out the control panel, removed the shroud then took out the glass and plexi and cleaned em!

If you do remove the shroud, I'm guessing you'll find some dust under it as I did: :D
