I'm apologizing in advance for anyone who loves these games, but I always laugh when I see one go up for sale in my area. They never ever move. And these people list them forever, taking 25 bucks off or whatever each week thinking someone's going to snatch them up.

I've never played either one of these games so I have no idea whether they are any good or not. Has anyone else ever seen these 2 games sit around forever?

I know my membership is new around here but...

you call yourself 'vintagegamer' and you've never played Time Pilot or Mr Do. ???????

They were both popular games back in the day - at arcades and on home consoles.

Welcome, dogbowl- I spent time in the arcades in the 80s, and yes remember both games myself (seeing them but not playing them). However, my question was did it seem to any of the folks here that these games don't seem to be desirable games to pick up for home collections. When people post them in our area on CL and related, they just seem to linger around, regardless of price.

i love time pilot...one of my faves.

never played mr. do in the arcade, but i have it on my multicade now and it's pretty darn fun to play.

to answer you question.. No not around here. i havent seen a Mr. Do pop up in a long time, and the few TP that were around have been snatched up...actually any reasonably or under priced game goes fast in these parts

Very interesting to hear, pud- it must have been a lull when I saw them sitting in the Spring. I know I've seen quite a few folks here with Mr. Do machines in their lineups, which is why I couldn't get why the game was sitting for so long.

re: Time Pilot and Mr. Do

Hearing what all of you have provided, I was going to go back and change the original title of this posting but now I can't. So again, for anyone that the title might be offending, I'm sending out the sincerest of apologies!

It's hard to find a Time Pilot with good sideart (it's usually cut or pealed). That's why most of them get passed up. With crap or missing sideart it's only a ~$150 game. With complete sideart in nice condition it's easily 2x or 3x that.

I'm not a Mr Do fan but I would defiantly pick up a time pilot. Thats one of the games I play most even today on my DS.

I've only seen one Mr. Do! in my area for sale...and I bought it. Its one of the games in my arcade that gets played the most at my parties. It seems like it would be a flop at first glance, but the game is very challenging and addicting. I haven't played Time Pilot for 25 years so I can't say too much about that game. In my opinion, Mr. Do! is more fun to play that Dig Dug, Ms. Pacman, or Burgertime. I have a lot of fun with it.

i would buy a cheap working time pilot in a second if one turned up around here! its a really fun game with lots of replay value.

Of course it depends on price but I would have a hard time passing up either of them. I need a TP cab to go with my PCB.

there has been a mr do for sale a couple of miles away from me for quite a while, they finally posted some pics recently, it was a qix cab.

the guy wants $300. I already have a mr do board, but I wouldn't mind a qix cab someday when I have room.
