For sale over here in Holland.

I'm normally not a big fan of woodgrain, but this is very tastefully done, and I LOVE the side-art. The condition of this 1975 machine is nothing short of amazing IMHO.

HAH, I _knew_ I had seen that cab before and that's exactly where it was.

34 years in operation and STILL making money eh ;) O wait, making money is not allowed in North Korea :D

I wonder how they play the game without the guns though..... ::) I bet they took them off to use them on some army rifles !!!! ;D

Stutrac on here might be interested in this one! He is a big 70's cab collector!

There were a couple for sale from the Time Travel warehouse a few years back, if I remember correctly. I imagine there may be a couple more stateside. Neat piece!

cool looking game, funny how it has a Marlboro man smoking a cig for the side art for a game bitd's

Has anyone ever played this game?

Yes I did.....today !!!

Went to pick it up for Alpha1 from the UK. I brought the cab to Gyruss who offered to store it for a little while until pick up to the UK.

When I arrived at the sellers place he had already plugged it in and it was running fine !!! Could control both players without any problems. didn't hear any sounds though and the TV (yes TV) will need some new caps but otherwise, I was flabbergasted that it was running fine.

Took several pics, uploading now. I think this one doesn't have a processor.

As you guys may have seen, this very classy Taito cab was put on Marktplaats again ( http://www.dragonslairfans.com/smfor/index.php?topic=1647.msg51743#msg51743 ) and Alpha1 wanted it, and DK1 offered to store it for a little while but had no means to transport it so I volunteered to do my duty in the ongoing mission of rescuing arcade history !

Regretfully the summer here has been more like a constant autumn so it looked like this when I went out to unload my work stuff from my car:

Once everything was out, let's hit the road...

When I arrive at the seller I already see the Western Gun in the garage, RUNNING !!!

The seller had the cab open for inspection....to my surprise, there's a real TV in there :p

It really is in very nice condition considering it being 37 years old...

Just a bit of cleaning and it's good to go !

As always, the type-plate shot. Do I really have to believe they made about 50000 of these....nahhhhh..

The side-art......love it, love it, love it !!!!

The PCB. "Look ma, no processor !"

Coin door. GREAT condition still. Regretfully a hacked in credit button, but it does work and I tried the game. Looks like a lot of fun but it's always a 2 player game of course !

After some very nice chatting and having a short look at what the seller collected (all kinds of old machines and other stuff, very nice older guy by the way) it was time to load 'r up. I had checked the dimensions on the flyer and had some doubt if it would fit in my car. The only cab I've had trouble with was SI, but even that one JUST fitted through the back opening. This time......we were out of luck !

We tried it on the back and sideways, but since the bottom part is almost square it didn't matter anything. So there was only one option left:

Put a strap around the cab (good thing the Skoda has eyes to tie these to) Tied the backdoor as close as possible and drove off, luckily it wasn't far from Gyruss' place.

The whole issue was the couple of centimeters that the back-seat forms on the floor. Had it been completely flat, the cab would have gone in without a problem. Also, that entry should be completely flat too on the next model Skoda !!!

On the road:

It safely arrived at DK1. He was in a real hurry as all systems had crashed at his work and as you know he works in telly business so he had to go back ASAP. So no pics. The bottom did get wet very little we could prevent that. We dried it as good as possible and pray that the Japanese pine-like wood will be forgiving....

Well that was it !

One more pic I missed to copy:

the CP:
CP. Everything works ! Promise me one thing Oll, keep the Dutch guilder signs ! :)

Considering the 1 guilder insert and little indication plate on the CP in Dutch I guess it has spent its entire life here. Seller told me he bought it from a fun-fair operator. Amazig to think this machine is in this condition if it has been travelling around the country for years....

Thanks for the pics Level42. There certainly can't be that many left, let alone in that good of shape.

:)
