Gentlemen,
I have a Taito Superman. It does not have a free play option, so you must use coins. Twice now, randomly when putting in coins during gameplay, the game will present a "Coin Error" message and reset. Somtimes I can play the game for an hour and go through $2 worth of coins, and then the next one I put in will cause this error. What is going on? Thank you in advance.

Usually jamma era coin errors are caused by the coin switch sticking. If the switch stays closed for too long the error is generated. Check the switch to make sure it isn't binding up.

That makes sense. Thanks guys. And to be honest with you, I have never found a service switch on this game.

I have a toddler running around my place so I don't like opening the coin doors or using coins unless absolutely necessary. When I have a game that has no free play option I use this method described by Bob Roberts so that I can keep everything closed and still operational:

I have even used it on a Superman PCB in the past.

Oryk,
That is awsome. Excellent idea and thank you for the link.
