As I was checking out the site I found that Taito Space Wipeout info is a little off.

In the text is says:

A clone of the Space Invaders game. The game selfdescribes itself on the attract screen as the Most Exciting Version. This text replaces Score Advance Table in the original. A credit line at the bottom of the screen states Beyer and Brown. Game play matches the original.

The game play is close to Space Invaders but does have some differences. SOme are little but I'll list them all as I know them.

1) The bases show the round number.

2) Game play freezes when you get 1500 bonus ship for a few seconds.

3) After you clear round 2, it ask you to enter your name before going to round 3.

4) Round 3 is a timed (bonus?) round. The invaders DO NOT move. You have a on screen time that counts down. The round ends whenyou clear it, Timer runs down, Or you lose all your men.

I'm not sure if the timed round repeats on later rounds as I'm not the best at this game.

Anyway, I thought someone would find this interesting. I've also included some pics.

Sorry for the bump, but we found an old dump of this PCB and added its checksums to MAME. It will be supported in MAME 0.186 in case KLOV wants better screenshots.

It's probably more precise on the KLOV page: http://www.arcade-museum.com/game_detail.php?game_id=13739
to say that the manufacturer is "Beyer and Brown", this seems mostly to be a titlescreen and gameplay hack by them, and not actually published by Taito.

Due to the KLOV page, this game has been entered into the complete list of Taito games at Wikipedia, and that appears to be inaccurate. I've submitted a Wikipedia fix, we'll see if it takes.
