been thinking of getting 2000 meters made up , the black and orange t mould.
2000 meters is the min order from any manufacture when it comes to t moulding

for the original blue taito space invaders cabinets.

as far as i know.. no one globally has ever had these reproduced since 1978.

just want to know if there would be enough interest in supply n demand.

the original space invaders cab only needs 4 strips , one on each side of the front , one along the control panel and one right up the top.

i will look into the blue stripes one for you in the very near future :)

right now just want to concentrate on space invaders..

2000 meters made up it will only cost around $16 per cabinet , pretty cheap.

and yeah thats for all 4 stips for whole cabinet.

a great way to make your taito space invaders look newer and in better condition :)

i just need to see if there is a high enough demand.

hi homepin , didnt know you use klov as well lol

hmmm , thats fine.

i can get one of the long term members of klov who is well known and trust worthy to handle the dispatching.. in other words send it over to the usa in one mass bulk.

and keep half for here down under in australia lol.

some may even consider using this t mould to custom build a mini space invaders cab , a cocktail table etc etc.

Hi Baz

Have you spoken to T-molding.com? or others

Direct them to threads like this to show the demand and see if they will stock it

Everyone just buys from them in the future

:)

hi john.

i didnt know all you guys used klov as well lol

exact match i know , im waiting on a gutted space invaders taito cab to arrive down from sydney so i can cut out a tiny piece of the t mould as the manufacture wants the sample to make it with acuracy and percision.

so it will definatly be a 100% match :)

im keeping 100 meters for myself , so that leaves 1800 meters , once all sold it will proberbly never be reproduced ever again.

please express your interest , im not asking nor taking deposits :)

Another idea Baz is to sell this as generic T-molding also

I personally would us this on mame cabs or cocktails etc

It doesn't need to be used solely for space invaders

I would buy some, but probably 50m maximum, that's a lot even

I'd go in for 3 cabinets worth. It's also used on other Japanese Taito cabs of the era as well so it isn't solely limited to SI.

Now if someone would do the orange/silver Nichibutsu molding :) ...

ataritoobin should all go well il hook you guys up with the manufacture in china , since its the same t mould but different color , you wont have to worry about the setup fee :)

dezbaz she is 16 mm :)

im gona use some to make a mini 13 inch tube cocktail table for my space invaders rodex.

speaking of that game , im looking for anyone who owns a space invaders rodex pcb , made by tekhan , japan

For some reason the Nichibutsu stuff is about 19mm, the cabinets were some particle board/plywood hybrid thing. It's also flatter than the Taito stuff with wider grooves. I think too that there'd only be about two people that needed it :)

friendly bump and reminder to anyone interested in brand new space invaders t mould to express your interests here should you wish to purchase some in the near future to make your cabinet look new again.

decided to bring this thread back to life.

im finding more and more original taito games also use the orange / black t mould.

so hit me up if your interested in some before i get this mass produced.
