Give me opinions on if this is a bad idea. I have a newly cut Taito cabinet. I am thinking of painting it in a non traditional paint color scheme. It is for a Qix, and I was thinking of doing the standard Taito stencil but with a reddish brown base with a teal colored striping. Ideas on this would help.

i like it.. but what if you reversed the colors?

I like the concept of painting different variations for other Tatio games that don't have there own dedicated Standard cab..

Well for Qix.. how come you decided you wanted a different color scheme?

Just curious. :)

Not a fan of that color scheme.. how about the orange and a white? That would look great.. or orange and dark blue if you want to go bold.

The reason for the change of color is just that I think it might look cool to paint the cabinet with the colors that are used in the game as opposed to black and white which is the standard color. I have not made up my mind if I am going to do this or not. I guess the beauty of it is, that if I don't like it, I can always paint it another way!! :) Phet, I will try to look at the color suggestions you have made to see if I like them. And brett I actually meant to do this with orange on blue like we first discussed, but I had to get driving after work to get out and get the cabinet from your house!!

I think if this is going to be a Qix, you should go original. If you are doing a non-standard Taito game, they you can experiment with the colors. (of course, this is just my opinion)
