I picked up a World Series Baseball in a Taito Qix cabinet and the monitor is having issues. The monitor seems original to the cabinet because it has Qix burn. I'm not sure if it's a sync issue or what and I don't even know what monitor it is (can't seem to find any part number or brand) any ideas????????

they're notorious for having bad solder joints on the headers where the two cards plug into the main PCB. checking connections and solder joints are almost always the first place to start when unsure of the problem.

The boards were loose, I seated it but that didn't help. I may order a cap kit and Check everything when I have the chassis out. Hopefully Dave has some ideas. - Barry

yeah, i haven't had luck with my K4600. didn't have blue so i did a cap kit and not only did it still not have blue when done but also was vertically collapsed.

the tube's pretty burned so i haven't been in a hurry to get it fixed but eventually i'll pull it back and out and track down the problems.

good luck.

It might be the angle of the camera, but the sync wiring doesn't look to be in the right spots. Can we get a better pic of the video connector and how it's connected to the left daughtercard?

This is the only other pic I have right now. Currently the game is at a friends house and the monitor is in my garage. - Barry

Do you have another game you can hook it up to?

Or perhaps another working X/Y card to plug in?
