Put this across on the UK forum that I frequent and had good interest, so thought I'd mention it on here too :)

Thinking of putting together some of the lower cash/vault doors that are quite often lost since they're not on a fixed hinge.

I've had a test one temporary put together and it looks pretty good:

The repro is the one with the key barrel installed:

The rust is wipeable from my test door - it's just was left from the water cutter.

The material is the same as original (mild steel), as with the thickness (2mm) so it's the same strength.

The folds on the inside only differ slightly for the ease of making - much easier than original!

Thinking of supplying them as is (bare metal) and then another option to have them primed. I'm not sure of a final paint finish since the original is a slight marbling grey colour - so that'll probably be left up to yourselves.

Thanks.

Good stuff!

I'm just awaiting the final drawing to then take to my local water cutting place and I can then get more of an idea on a price based on their fee for each unit.

The test door will have it's final this week and will the first of the line :)

Got the final sample door through to me yesterday, tac welded to match the original. Given the go ahead on this to start getting some made :)

It's looking at £40 per door + the postage to the US at about £14.

So about $75 total shipped.
