I have a Taito Jungle King and a previous owner bypassed the original PS and added a universal.. I would like to convert it back to the original power supply but it keeps blowing a 15 amp fuse at F1.. does anyone have any ideas as to what keeps making it blow this fuse?

Also not sure if it is related but I have checked the voltages and + 5 is only reading + 2.59 , all other voltages are where they belong..

I would consider it. But the universal ps is a hack job. And when I throw the toggle switch it only shuts the monitor and the game keeps running.. maybe I will just rewire it properly.. Thanks for the heads up..

Then that means that they plugged the switcher into the service outlet or wired/plugged it into a non-switched 120 tap. There are 2 120 V outputs on the left of the power supply that are switched. Tap into one of those and you'll be fine. There are 3(?) identical outputs/connectors on that side, but one of them is a 6.3 V output, so be mindful of which you are tapping into. I know Mouser sells the AMP connector that mates with the original AMP connectors Taito used. Also, Arcadeshop sells a mini pcb that is screwed right onto a switcher and allows you to plug the original connector right into it. I assume if yours is hacked in that connector is long gone, but you never know.
