Are these the same as the Midway one in the US? Looking for monitor parts for rebuild and power supply parts

Originally, the Taito Space Invaders and the Midway Space Invaders had different monitors and different power supply boards.

I recently sold the guts from two of these Taito Cocktail SIs. I believe the PS had a type of switcher combined with a transformer. I still have a few parts left including a monitor and 2 sets of control panels. PM me if interested.

Crap, do you know what type they use?

The couple of uprights I've seen have had Toei Black & white 19"ers. I've also seen them with Motorola or Wells-Gardner black & whites stuck in them by previous owners.....probably because the Toei's died.

Regarding the power supplies....I just remember them looking totally different.....design, layout, connectors, etc. I've only ever had to fix one Taito Space Invaders power supply....and that was awhile ago.

I'll spill the beans.

It's a friend of our's that got the thing... He's a Midway Jamma guy... that's it. Midway "box" cabs (KI, MK's, etc etc) only, and I don't think he's ever bought a non-Jamma game without the intent to flip it.

He wants me to work on it for him because I repaired my Space Invaders. I've been putting it off because I'm PRETTY sure he got it just to piss me off. lol

I'll be swinging by his house tonight, probably, to look at it... I'll try to get some pictures if anyone is interested. The cabinet is in great shape. I think he just needs the power supply rebuilt (I doubt there's a kit for this version), the boards looked at (screw me) and the monitor rebuilt (probably no kit for the monitor either).

I'll take a look at it and see WTH he's gotten me into.
