I am new to the Arcade Museum and this is the first time for a post. I don't know if this is the correct forum so please help me out. I need some help with my Taito Ice Cold Beer game. When I turned it on all of the numbered holes and the other displays lit up, then everything went dark. The 4 amp fuse F3 was blown, I out in a new fuse and it blew. I need help.

Welcome to klov!

you posted in the right area but I don't know that game at all but I will do some looking around for you.

Found this thread for you. It is not about the problem you are having but you can see in post #7 someone who does work on that game.

I have one and can help you troubleshooting. First thing is to always check the simple things before going crazy on the machine.

1. Was the machine working before or you just got it turned it on and poof...?

2. Did you recently move the machine? Possible the connections are loose causing a short. Carefully unplug and replug everything one at a time. Also carefully press on all socketed chips in case they are loose.

3. Replace the burnt fuse and try the machine. If it blows again we will go from there.

Good luck!

The game had been working, last played three months ago. Replaced the fuse, the new fuse blew immediately.

Had one piece of advice - unplug everything from the PS. Start back one at a time to see when the fuse blows. It will be a week before I can get back to the game.

did you hear one of the 2 motors running before the fuse blew? Maybe one of the top/bottom switches got mis-aligned and the motors are drawing too much load while trying to push the belt hardware where it should not be going.

good luck
