Morning Everybody,

I've been looking for a Taito Frontline for quite a while. Just curious what one should go for if I am lucky enough to come across one sometime. Also, any idea how many of this particular game were made? Thanks in advance.

This game just like Wild Western has been harder and harder to find.
Back a few years when they were common they would sell from $350-$450. But I havent seen one for sale for several years now. I would assume they are selling for more money?

Thanks eXidy. You are right. I've only come across two in the last year or so and neither one was complete. I forgot about Wild Western. Another good game. I'll have to keep an eye out for that one as well. Always liked the Taito games....Elevator Action....Jungle Hunt.

By the way, I used to live in Parker, CO. About 10 years ago. Liked it a lot. Probably a little different now though.

I got lucky and picked mine up locally for $250

Awesome deal.

The one I have now ive had for about 8 years, wont sell it for anything.
Same with my Wild Western.

BTW. Frontline was my first online purchase. Did it back in 98. Cost $100 to have it shipped and was a total pile of crap :(

Dunno if he still is (I know he still has it but his financial situation has changed since he posted it), but a local collector buddy of mine has one still up on C/L

It's in pretty decent shape (I think) and works 100% (I suck at the game). Somewhere around here I have a working boardset I'm going to sell once I find it....

I saw one for sale a month ago in CA for about $300. NO idea if it sold. I would almost guess that it didn't since I saw the ad reposted at least once.

You don't see them too much anymore....Not as rare as Wild Western nor Tin Star but definately hard to come by as of late. This game is my goal for 2010....I should've picked one up for $650 awhile back!!!! Regret not doing so....

Front Line is pretty fun.

Wild Western sucks.

Tin Star uses the same controller and rates in between the other two. It's a horizontal game, so you have to flip your monitor to play it in the same cabinet.

I can vouch for this machine on craigslist because I've played it in person. For those interested in buying that one, it looks great, plays great, has a switcher in it to bypass that awful Taito power supply (but the original PS is included for the brave soul interested in a rebuild).

Well now I really want one after reading all of these comments.

Any idea/guesses on the number that were produced back in 1982?

By the way, I really enjoyed the thread on Phetishboy's Taito cab restoration. I forgot how many different colors there were. If I ever do get a Taito cab and it requires some side art, is Phetishboy's method the best way (assuming one has that kind of talent and capability) or I see you can buy vinyl side art that can be directly applied as well. Which one would look/is better?

One of my all time favorites as a kid and still love to play. I was on the lookout for one of these for awhile before I got mine several years ago for around $400 in decent condition but without sound. Put switcher in it but someday will get around to fixing original power supply. Probabaly will keep it forever. Not many come up for sale.
