Taito Double Dragon sound issue

Worked just fine 2 weeks ago. Pulled it and it hasn't moved since. I go to sell it and test it before packing.

It has sound but it's very low and you can hear a hiss like when a stereo is turned up all the way (The hiss is much louder than the game sounds.)

Adjusting the audio pot on the board makes everything louder (game sounds and the hiss).

I've re-seated some of the roms and pulled the board connectors off on put back on. Checked the dip switches to make sure sound was enabled.

Also tried it in another cab.

I've never had any issues with game boards so this is new territory for me.
 
As you still have sounds the fault is likely to be in the amp section of the board, most likely is dying electolytic capacitors around the amp chip. Just check that the amp isnt getting stinking hot, if it is just warm then you need to recap the amp.
