Question here.
I've seen a number of people talk about these games
Taito Chase H.Q. & S.C.I. "Special Criminal Investigation".
Two questions:
First question: can a Chase HQ pcb work in an S.C.I. cabinet without any alteration. Plug and Play? Connections look the same on both boards.
My understanding is the main difference between S.C.I & Chase HQ is that S.C.I. has a circuit for the shaker motor in the steering wheel and an extra button on the shifter.
Seconrd Question: I have an extra S.C.I. board that was working with intermittent sound due to a broken cap at C1, when you pushed the cap back on the board sound would come back on. All radial caps replaced too. (Some of them had big dents) After that, the board does not book, screen frozen, garbage on the screen. Does anyone work on S.C.I. boards that would take a look at this one?
