Does anyone know of an Elevator Action type of cab that has a Horzontal monitor with two player (side by side) controls. Joy + 2 buttons per player.

I'm trying to figure out if one exists. I think that Double Dragon is my only Taito Cab choice for this. I found a local early 80's style cab but I'm looking for a "proper" home for a pair of Cadash boards as Cadash was only sold as a kit. I feel like it's wrong to put it into a Nintendo VS dual cab. even if that's the common conversion for Cadash.

I was thinking that Double Dragons would be cool but maybe a side by side in the Taito Stencil cab might work out.

I Think Cadash in that Nintendo vs cab is the way to go if you ask me. That's the way I played this game bitd and what a cool game!!!!

I agree. In fact I acquired a Nintendo vs. cab just for a Cadash conversion. Oh, and an arcade in Tacoma, WA still has Cadash in a converted vs. cab.

Yes having it truely side by side at the angle is pretty cool but since you have to hack the Nintendo VS dual into JAMMA, I just have a "WRONG" feeling about it.

This is really what I'm going for. I wouldn't mind even making my own custom top banner.
My original thought was to have one dressed as a Double Dragon and one as a Cadash and then to just swap boards when I wanted to link and play 4P Cadash.

Because of the link mode, it was one of my very favorite arcade dungeon crawlers ever.

It would be sad to use two Dynamo 19" cabs.

I'm now looking for the correct molex to create a link cable as I have the pin config and I can use regular ethernet cable cause it's 8 wire.

Yeah, I understand. The cab I have has already been converted to Jamma. I will have to install a second Jamma harness in order to make the second board work.

I don't think there is anything special about the link cable connectors. I thought they were standard .100 molex housings.

thanks, I didn't even know what to ask or look for.
I usually don't deal with molex connectors

My grail system is basically done.

This is fully working now.

The link now works on these two.

compare to the manual shot.

I need to hookup the freeplay buttons and do a few other things to make the cabs more solid. Then this system is ready for CAX next week!

Quick, I need help making the Taito Com System banner for placement across the top! That would make it awesome!

We're going to need 4 guys for like 40 mins cause this game has NO DROP IN PLAY.
When they leave and no one continues... that slot can no longer be filled.

According to the manual your joysticks are mounted on the wrong side of the buttons. ;)

So I guess my question is, is Cadash fun? :p

In single-player, I think the game is okay, but nothing to go crazy about. It sort of reminds me of Magician's Lord. Though, I'm guessing it's probably pretty interesting and fun to play with 4 players. I guess we'll all have to try at CAX and find out. :)

Prairied1ll0 and I agreed that all of these JAMMA Taito side scrollers are mediocre at best. Cadash is just a game he remembers playing so it hold nostalgic value for him. I feel the same way about Double Dragon and Rastan.

Here are the games that we'll be swapping in and out at the show.

Double Dragon
Double Dragon II
Rastan
Cadash (Up to 4P)
Growl (Up to 4P)

I wish we could get a Ninja Kids 4P action going, but the board is pretty rare. Finding it would probably cost as much as one of the cabs. Haha. I definitely remember playing it as a kid though and loving it. It's a weird little beat'em up where you play a clan of ninjas (each with their own weapon and magic power) that goes out to defeat a satan-worshipping clown gang.

I think that it's like any other game that's sorta broken w/ freeplay. Time and health no longer matter. I played it last night trying to get deep into the dungeon. I was able to get a few bosses down but it still didn't really scratch the surface much. It's a pretty long game. I wasn't even able to level up the Mage to the point where I had spells yet.

What got it up and running?

$75 and a 3rd board. I really wanted it up and running for CAX. I figure that I can try to figure out what's wrong with that board that isn't linking now. I at least can A&B against a working board. I plays fine in in single player so I'll be looking into it.

I can say now that CAT5 cable works perfectly fine... I made mine pretty long also!
The pin mapping worked for me.

Yeah you snapped up that great deal on those two boards.

VS caps are cool for this but still wrong deep down inside. I like the DD cabs cause I can board swap so easy on them. This is my Growling Double Rast-Dash Bubble G-net setup.

Now if I can find a good deal on Elev Action Returns. I was an hour late last year on a $60 one.
