Maybe this was explained already but I didn't see it. What happened to the ROMS being dumped for this? Did the creator of the game actually release them or no?

The author of the game is the next door neighbor of a buddy of mine. I have previously posted pictures of the marquee and control panel (the author showed these to me). The author is a very nice guy but it is not important to him at all to get the ROMs out there. He's not against it, just doesn't want to make any effort at all. Every time I go to my buddy's house, I keep a look out for the author/neighbor. I only see him maybe once every 2 years or so, but I always make sure I talk to him to remind him. He always says if/when he goes through his stuff, he will put the aside for me. Some day, some day.

I am waiting patiently...would love to see how this game plays.

Joe, is his first name Mark?

Yep! Same guy that wrote Kram wrote (Taito) Black Widow.

By the way, I did talk to him about the Atari version. He told me that Taito released their version first, about a month before Atari. Taito's version is not like Atari's. Taito's version didn't do anything and Atari had already spent all the money on cabinets, marquees, software, etc., and didn't want to go renaming it at that point, so they just bought out the Taito version for the name.

Is there any mention of what the game play is like? Vertical or horizontal? I saw the marquee and control panel. Pretty cool artwork. Curious as to what the bezel looks like if there even is one?

Get people to donate some cash and offer him $1000 US cash for it. Start a thread for donations.

This is what the MAME guys do to get u dumped boards. Donations.

When you get a decent dollar amount get your buddy to knock on his door and offer the cash.

Also get someone like Darin involved for the art. A deal can be negotiated to this guy for a percentage of any art kits sales I am sure.

Money talks!

I can do the artwork if needed. That's not an issue. I have already done KRAM and Space Dungeon in small runs.

Someone from MAME recently shelled out $4000 for a Monkey Magic board just to dump it, I can imagine someone will pony up some decent cash for Black Widow! I'll throw in a little $ if I can be sure it'll get the ROMs released! My understanding is it worked on Qix hardware, so hopefully some real machines can be put together.

Did Mark mention what the gameplay on Taito's version about? I see a button for "fangs" and "web".

Love the marquee & CPO! Not to mention the Fang & New Web buttons!

Start a kickstarter, for the creator to get off his lazy butt? I'd chip in..
