Which Taito games used these?

They were added to any Taito cab when the replacement monitor's frame ended up sticking out too far for the back door to close. All the ones I've seen were added after initial production. I had both a JK and an EA cab that had them. Usually the hole was hastily cut and very crooked and then the bubble was bolted on around it to hide the shoddy craftsmanship while protecting the monitor (and those who may try to touch it while it was powered up).

I converted a Jungle Hunt to a Frontline. Rotating the monitor is going to make the monitor stick out. Is it best to get one of these bubbles or a one of those "wired" monitor frames so it fits with the door closed?

These are a must have for any taito collector. I have a few nos ones I bought a while back for restorations.. Frontline or Qix are perfect examples of cabs that need these bubbles if your going to install a new monitor. Horizontal mount monitors are much easier to find then verticle ones.. I had a few nos wells k7203s which are amazing and come with remote pcbs.. But the frame sticks out the back of the cab when installed.

Yes, you can rebuild the original monitor or modify the verticle frame to accept a new chassis.. But that can be a pain in the ass.. These bubbles came from taito, and were used by many ops.. So I look at it as upgrading the game and still keeping it original.

Thanks, I'm sold on the idea. Sent PM to OP.
