As we continue to prepare for upgrading the forum experience here, I wanted to bring up the topic of "tags" that get added to threads. Tags, when added to threads, are a part of threads. We don't intend them to be anonymous.

In short, if you are man (or woman) enough to post a tag, you should be man (or woman) enough to own the tag.

We'll likely begin by adding a page which will display the 100 most recent tags and who posted them. We will then likely expand from there.

Regarding making tags more transparent in preparation for the new system:

1) We've started letting some beta testers explore visibility into recent tag postings.

2) Keep in mind that if you posted a tag on a thread, and in hindsight maybe you thought it wasn't a great idea, you should have the ability to go back to any thread, click on 'edit tags' and then remove a tag you added.

Would you like to see what tags you have posted over the years to threads?

1) Make sure you are logged into the main site, www.arcade-museum.com, then

2) visit: https://www.arcade-museum.com/members/entry/my-tags.php

From there you can click to view any thread associated with one of your tags, and if you wish, you can always go to the bottom of the thread, click 'edit tags', and remove the tag you previously created that you wish to remove.

It's been noticed that if a thread is locked, you can't delete a tag from it. If this applies to you, and you would still like it removed, please provide the tag name with the link to Tombo or myself and we'll try and take care of it for you.
