Just tried out the Centipede. The games are ports using Adobe Air and they suck. There are some new "evolved" graphics as well, but you can still play classic sound and graphics. The gameplay is just like online games but there are others at http://www.atari.com/play

Oh my god. That art rules you all. And me too.

Making a run for the border...RIGHT NOW!!!

I think they did this shit just to get us to go there, eat a meal and buy $6.00 worth junk cd's.

I love Atari 2600 art...
I would stare at it for hours as a toddler.... Then play the game and try to figure out what the hell the artwork had to do with the game.

I paid just under $4 for all 4. They said I wasn't the first one to ask and they had it in the register.

I just want them for the boxes. They look retro like the Atari 2600 boxes.

I think that super breakout is the only one using 2600 art. Not sure what the Asteroids art is from. The Centipede and Lunar Lander are from the arcade sideart. sweet!

I know! :)

The local TB I went to had no idea what I was talking about when I asked about the Atari CD-ROMs. Clerk stared at me like I had two heads.

Guess I will try later.

Same here in Dallas, they had no idea what I was talking about.

Just got back from the friendly neighborhood Taco Bell. There was a bit of a language barrier, so I didn't get all 4. But the cashier gave me the Asteroids one for FREE, if I promised to call their feedback line and give them a good report. At least, that's what I think she said. In any case, I got the 'stroids disk for $0.00, which is the best deal I've had all day :D

Now to go give myself a nice colon cleansing......

These are not that bad, and certainly worth a buck. I am really enjoying the Lunar Lander Evolved mode. There are some nice touches in the "Evolved" modes and the arcade classics are pretty good too with nice bezel artwork and what not.

I had to call around to a few close by Taco Bells and found one that had them in the back and they said the promo didn't officially start until tomorrow or this weekend. I picked up three sets :)
