I just picked up an all original Tac Scan that had been sitting for over 20 years. I started cleaning the years of dust out of the cab and wanted to clean and reseat all the chips on the boards in the cage. I came across the ribbon cable that connects the XY timing board to the XY control board and on the control board end of the ribbon cable the pins 1-6 are bent so they would not go into the socket. This looks like it was done intentionally. The guy said the game worked fine then stopped working one day and that he did not have any keys to get into the cab so I doubt he did anything. You can see in the pics that someone did a revision on the board maybe it has something to do with that. Has anyone else come across this ? Also it looks like there is a spot for a fan that would sit on top of the board cage is that correct? Thanks for the help

There's someone selling replacement cables if you need one.

Yes, there was a cooling fan on the cardcage.
