Tabletop Laser Cut Raspberry Pi Arcade Cabinet (prototype)

Hey all! Long time no see!

I've been doing a lot with the Raspberry Pi lately, blog.sheasilverman.com has a ton of my project details.

The Raspberry Pi is a $35 linux computer dedicated to education at an affordable price for anyone. I've been getting emulators to work on it for the past few months. Now that I have access to a laser cutter, I built this:

The display is a 2" LCD with Composite input from Adafruit. All of that is powered via 5V 1A MicroUSB connector.

The next step is to cut out the control panel area, and mount everything inside :D

Also, here are the founders of the Raspberry Pi Foundation (and creators of the Raspberry Pi, holding my prototype)

At stock speeds, Neo Geo games run full speed. Overclocked, SF2 runs fine.

Games from the 80s run ok. 90s+ are hit or miss. Do don pachi runs fine, but MvC won't even load.

Is it wrong that this is something I've been wanting a RasPi for for the longest time for a similar reason? It looks cool and I bet it'll turn out great, I was about to ask why the screen was so damn small but then I watched the vid, and realized how freaking tiny the whole damn thing was!

Reminds me of the tiny Ms. Pac someone built out of foam and a iPod nano
