OK! so I bought a stand up arcade, and I have inquired the help of modessitt (Steve) to help me out.

We got everything working!! monitor is great, game play is difficult as hell.

Anywho, the Bomb button on the Player 2 gun does not work. I check ALL the wiring all the way to the pcb and it has power. Steve checked the SIP? and said it all looked good.

On the test screen this is what happens...

Any ideas why the button would make sound when pushed, but not "bomb" on the screen??

PS, thats my dog drinking water in the background, LOL

I'll guess and say PCB problem? The sound board and I/O board are seperate in this game so it makes sense that the I\O PCB got the signal and the sount PCB made the sound. But the game PCB failed to show the bomb.

I would test with a known working PCB to verify. Granted the I/O PCB counld still be at fault not sending the signal to the game board.

a replacement button was posted years ago for this.. Ken Layton had / has the part #.. i may have it also.. ill check around.

Damn, did you have a seizure when you took that pic? ;)

As he said, in Switch Test, pushing the bomb button on the 2nd gun causes a sound to be heard, but no notification on the screen like it does with the other buttons. Switch is good (or it wouldn't make the sound), wiring is good to the board. If you swap the plugs to the guns, the problem moves to the 1st gun bomb button. I traced the pad to the SIL resistor pack. The pack seems to be fine (10k-ohms). I didn't go in farther, as I didn't know what I should be looking for....
