I am replacing the t-molding on a Time Pilot and for some reason the new t-molding isn't sticking. It is standard 3/4" t-molding from t-molding.com and there is no water damage to the cabinet. I assume the channel for the t-molding is a bit larger than normal, as it looks that way to the eye, and the problem is consistent all over the game, not just in one spot.

Aside from gluing the t-molding in place and strapping it down till it dries, does anyone have any other tricks they are willing to share to get the t-molding to stay in place?

Done this before

I know this isn't the BEST idea, but in the past I have taken black electrical tape and used it on the t-molding to make it "thicker" on the groove side and thin pushed it into place (or hammered it with my rubber mallet)...it has always worked and you can't tell...it always was easier than using glue...I know it is "ghetto" but it works...LOL

Good Luck!

Jess

I've done the same, but I find that strips of duct tape work better than electrical tape.

Excellent! That is just the kind of advice I was hoping to get, and why I value KLOV so much.

Thanks!

I know this has been mentioned on here already but I did the duct tape method on my SF RUSH T-molding that didn't fit and it worked out nice. Really tight fit.

I ended up doin g2 layers on this to make it work.

+1 on the hot glue, and I go a little further and use one of those frozen gel ice packs fresh out of the freezer to set the glue faster.

really?! then why dont you take a walk to my neck of the woods and just give this pac ive been fucking with for a week a quick yank on the ole tmolding and tell me how not permanent it is ;)

That's AJ for you always asking someone to yank on his tmolding.
