So I'm shopping for parts, and I notice 20' of red is 7.40. Good price I think.

But then I check another un-named site and they want almost 16.00 for what I imagine is the same stuff. Or is it?

Not a rich guy here, trying to save a few bucks as we all want to, but am I missing something.

Also does anyone recommend a certain ball/leaf joystick for Tetris that would work well. I hate micro switches. I'm needing a Atari Tetris CPO as well, I know I can get a repro(inkjet) but I would rather not go that route if possible.

Thanks!

Well I am converting a Ikari 3, cause its kinda beat but the cab is solid. Plus no ones gonna miss that game.. It's the beveled metal Dynamo cp. The rotary sticks won't do so they have to go.

This is the wife's game, and to avoid any further issue with fixing other games, I want to get her Tetris completed and looking nice enough be with the rest of the arcade..

oh and I am looking for new sticks, just need a recommendation.

I've bought from T-Molding.com and Mikesarcade. Their T-Molding seems to be the same, or at least similar enough that I couldn't tell the difference.

I like the stuff T-Molding.com has.. But their shipping costs are INSANE! It's like $10 to ship one 20' roll!!! Did I mention I live about 45 minutes away from them too! I ONLY buy from them when I have to buy multiple rolls otherwise it's simply not worth it.

I'm pretty sure that every piece of T-Molding comes from one source, regardless of reseller: Outwater plastics. http://www.outwater.com/

That said, I have noticed some minor tint or plastic hardness variations from different resellers, but that could have just been different lots or excess bought at discount from different "B" runs.

Some also simply buy in bulk from T-molding (250') and resell in smaller quantity.

I noticed that too, and I actually requested a cheaper method which they accommodated. I think they ship UPS by default, but I asked them to send it USPS instead. Can't remember which shipping method (parcel post maybe), but it was considerably cheaper.

Hmmmm... I may have to try that. Thanks!

I assume you had to contact them about it? I don't see a way to select anything other than UPS.

Yeah, I sent him a message asking for it. If I had been ordering additional arcade parts I probably would have ordered from a different site as the shipping cost would then be negligible. He operate out of Connecticut though so I figured I'd support him :)
