there is a two player sit-down T-Mek near me and I could pick it up for under 400. I never played it..is it fun? One of the monitors is not working.

Opinions welcome.

Was the first game I got. I love it. Much more fun if you've got a bunch of people playing tournament style, but still good to play on your own. $400 isn't bad price, but you could probably talk him down since one of the monitors is out. Do all the speakers/subwoofers work? How are the joysticks?

definitely need two people to get real enjoyment out of it

you shouldn't pay over $200 for one...even less with only 1 monitor working. They are at that perfect nexus point of gigantic and old-but-not-classic which makes them appealing to only a very small number of home collectors.

Definitely not a popular title. I love Cybersled but I can't stand TMek, personally. Sometimes you just need to pass on titles, even if it seems like a good deal.

I like cybersled and t mek. But I'm to cheap. With one dead monitor, I'd say it's worth $300 or less. I'd happily pay 200 for it depending on condition.

Also in the ad the guys states "it's in the garage and the wife wants it gone". I figure for 200 and it gets gone..take it or leave it.

One thing to keep in mind is that you'll need at least a 36" doorway to get it in your house if that's where you plan on putting it. I had to take mine completely apart and take it into the basement, piece by piece. Took two whole Saturdays to complete.

Not a problem. My basement has access through a sliding patio door. I should be able to get the individual halves in no problem.

I called the guy.. he mentioned on the phone again..'the wife wants to get rid of it'. LOL

Sounds like this thing is yours! Congrats and welcome to the T-Mek club! Wish I had a sliding patio door like you have. Would make life so much easier

I love the game, but I could never have one because it's just too big to get into my house. If you can fit it, go for it!

I went to see it today.. its pretty much as described.. one monitor out..the other didn't seem to have all its colors.. it coined up and played.. all audio was there. I offered 200 and he said he wanted at least 300. So I walked.

There's something strange about that T-Mek. Most machines were upgraded in the field to the version 5.1 rom set ("The Warlords") which I always understood to be the final version. That one, though is running what looks like "Signage Version"? And what is Kraxis' Challenge? The features listed there are some of the ones that were introduced with 5.1, so I don't think it's earlier, but rather later. And who/what is Kraxis? There is no character in the game named that.

That game does not break down into 2 stand alone units. Its a monitor section, a seat section and an overhead piece. So make sure you will be able to fit it. I think it would go through a 30" door.

It should have 2 25" wells k7000's in it. If you ask me, $400 is monitor value if they are not burnt. I would say buy it. I have a proto upright and I want to build a 2nd to link them. Hopfully I can get 4 or 6 linked for cax..
