Looking at my first SS pin, a Cyclone (Thanks again Brian!), the P3 and P4 displays were changed at some point and evidently they used a hot butter knife as a soldering iron, resulting in lifted traces, missing pads, short leads, etc..
Before I turn this thing into jumper-land with lots of wire, I had a question..
I see I can buy entire replacement display boards or even new LED replacements, but what about broken PCB's? Do these things come up often?
It would save me a bunch of repairs and a nasty looking board if I can source a bad PCB with intact traces but I don't know how common these are.
Is it worth holding out?
Cheers!
