Has anyone ever replaced the bottom board on a system 1 cab? Mine looks like the left front leveler was cranked way out and somebody did a 60mph head start before standing it up. In addition the big blue leaked all over the inside bottom of it. Just looking to know if there's an easy way to remove/replace it without really ripping everything apart?

In addition to that...the front piece where the coin door is, does anyone know how thats "supposed" to be attached? Mine has bolts (cab is/was hacked up). I'm assuming this was screwed/glued from inside?

Got Pics?

I replaced the bottom on Wacko, so it's probably a similar approach. Lots of cutting, some chiseling then sanding, then putting the new piece in.

I'll get some in the next day or two...was gonna mess with it yesterday and something else came up. Its not "horrible" but if its something where I can unscrew it without too much pain I'd just replace it.

I replaced one on my old one. I don't remember how it went so much, but you're going to need probably a screwdriver (unscrewing the splining pieces if they were screwed to the base, I forget), a hammer (for wedging the 5-in-1 tool in between the bottom piece and splining to break the glue), a rubber mallet (to beat the bottom piece away from the splining until it is free of the staples), one of those painters 5-in-1 tools (prying, scraping the remaining glue and wood from the base off the splining), and a grinder would also help (to grind any remaining bits of staple profile so you don't eff up the splining ripping out staples).

And if you don't have a router you'll need one. The front door piece has a little track you'll need to reproduce so the door will go back on. And, hell, were it me I'd use the original piece to just template cut a new piece unless your table saw does 20" rips and is dead-on square.

Looked it over some more...both front levelers were pretty much smashed thru, but, that's the extent of the damage. It appears the bottom is glued onto the sides and center piece with some staples half ass shot thru the side supports from inside. I do have a router and table saw but neither is high end so I might just see if I can doctor up the areas for the levelers rather than replace the whole piece. Maybe two pieces of steel on the bottom and some fat washers above.

The coin door part seems like it may have originally been screwed on from inside but now it has bolts going through. Would be nice to just replace it with a new piece but my aforementioned table saw wouldn't do so good.

I took it all apart and wiped it down with bleach inside and out. Vacuumed out the inside real good. The pcb plate needs to be scrubbed with something...whole cab was a little musty but seems to be cleaning up well. Monitor will get a tube swap.

I replaced the bottom piece of my System 1 cabinet. When I got it, it seemed solid, but as I was working with it, I discovered that the leg levelers were pushed up inside from water damage.

I used a sledge hammer to remove the base. :D

It didn't damage the sides. The glue broke and the bottom came out (maybe because of the water damage).

When you replaced it - how did you attach it...screw from the bottom?

I dont know if I'm "there" yet...rest of the cab cleaned up decent. The sides are already done with vinyl I think (or someone painted the sides but they look clean). I also accidentally caused some seperation on the bottom of one of the sides wrestling it onto a dolly.
