Probably really obvious, but I can't find this answer anywhere. I'm making an assumption here, but all 11 the DC power wires on the jamma harness all go to the switching power supply? Therefore the +5V power will have four connectors from the harness fastened to it?

I'm using this as my reference from Bob Roberts.

Just checking because I only got 8 spade connectors from the Bob on the harness. And by the way, what is the best way to crimp the spade connectors? A vice grip pliers?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, normally you would connect all the +5 wires to the +5 terminal, all the +12 wires to the +12 terminals, etc.

Now, the top and bottom pads on the JAMMA boards are usually connected on the board. That means that if you want to run one +12 wire to the power supply, and run the other wire to the coin door lights, you'll be okay.

Multiple wires are run for each voltage more as a backup than a necessity. If there is a problem with one wire, the voltages will still get there.

Typically, you'll run one ground wire from each end of the harness to the control panel and coin door for switch grounds. That still typically leaves 3-5 ground wires for the board....

I have one of these. You can see the end is color-coded for crimping certain connectors...
