any possible way that i can play the new Silver Strike and a Golden Tee, both boardsets/hdds, in the same cab and make them switchable?

kinda like a multigame with both or just add a switch in front with both powered at same time(since they boot so long)???

got both and just tryin to figure a way to do this without having 2 cabs. anyone tried this?

While I've never personally done it, JAMMA is JAMMA. A person should be able to simply add a JAMMA switcher into the cabinet and it'd be a done deal.
If you're looking to make this a public machine I'd probably buy Cowgills Multijamma.

no, this is personal and used in my gameroom! my buddies and i love both games but just trying to save space. i would rather keep another classic in there in one of them's spot!

i didn't know they made sucha thing, a jamma switcher. prob need to jamma harnesses i guess huh? or is Cowgills MJ kinda like that? i can build shelf and fit a whole other game in there just don't know how they could both be powered at the same time without being coined up together, etc.... i would think that it would suck to have to wait another 10 min each time you switched games!

should jus be a 2 way jamma switcher if you can find one. I am trying to find one as well to run a couple boards in the same cab without switching em in and out all the time

Unless I'm mistaken, you'd need to find a way to switch the trackballs over too -- unless the trackballs connect via JAMMA and not some external harness..

i'm not possitive, but i believe trackballs are connected vai JAMMA harness! didn't really look yet.

i don't guess Cowgill is selling/working much with arcade products lately?

anyone have one of these they would like to part with?

mikes arcade has a 2 way for like 135, clays is also like 150 after shipping for a 2 way (more for the other switchboards) and idk if mikes needs a new power supply but clays manual says his does.

Clays takes a regular ATX power supply - needs two of them if you run all 8 boards.
The reason why - Clays board actually has all boards booted up and running not switching over and then having to wait for the board to post.
Mikes probably doesn't do this.
I'd just call his lovely wife and ask her.

For home use I'd probably go the Mikesarcade route personally.
Like it matters if you have to wait for the board to boot up at home right?

ah i didnt know if you had to wait for mikes or not, but hes looking for the one that has em both on at the same time cause of long load times

Give Happ a call tomorrow and ask for Judy. Tell her Chris from Oregon referred you and see what price she'll quote you on that switcher they have. I've worked with Judy a ton - you may or may not like the price she gives but it'll be the absolute best she can do on it with no tax!

the happ solution looks great to me, for 400 bucks it is costly. however would you pay 400 bucks for more space for another game? If you answer yes then it is a reasonable cost IMO. the OP was kinda stating that space is a bit of a premium in his game room.

i'll call them today but would like to know if they have a menu like the multicade pcbs or is it just like Cowgills where they are just a switch away. i want the no wait for boot up system even for my gameroom!

i'll throw your name out there Chris and see what happens!

ok....happ's(Judy) price it about $430 with no discounts(thanks anyway Chris), which is ridiculous price!

talked with Kim and Mikes and looks like this will work just fine and keep both booted and switch with a button! would rather spend a 3rd the price for same thing!!! although she said she thought that GTee used another pin(maybe 26) that is not on her harness...so might have to hack that in there i guess!

thanks all!

That's weird. The website price is 406.85. How does it get more expensive when you ask for their best price? Granted still crazy high either way.

Let us know how it works out w/ Mike's kit. I'd like to do the same thing one day.

Robert

yea i was gonna buy mikes kit until I read wiring a button to player one button 5 on the pinout will switch the game. I have a blue elf board that uses that pin for a button, which would mean everytime I hit that button is it gonna switch the games??
