I have a TMNT cab and can put a turtles in time in with no problem. I put sunset riders in and the monitor need to be adjusted. Same goes with other boards Konami or not. Doe anyone else have that problem?

Also would putting all these games on a 6-n-1 switcher solve this problem?

I'm no guru, but every time I switch boards I need to adjust the monitor. I doubt a switcher would solve this.

Many boards have different pixel clocks, vertical and horizontal refresh and resolution.

Even a minor change in resolution, say 256x224 to 256x230 means the monitor is sync'ing differently and may need adjustments for HHold, VHold and then also size and position.

Multiple games by the same manufacturer, say Pac, MsPac, Galaxian for Bally/Midway, or say Super Cobra, Scramble, Frogger for Konami will use the same refresh and resolution and won't require syncing when switching.

Check the MAWS site that has info on Mame drivers and it will report the resolution and refresh rates so you can see which ones are identical and which arn't. There are hundreds of combinations making for any 2 being the same a lot less common.

Also, if you had an "auto adjusting sync" monitor it wouldn't be a worry...
I also have the same problem with switching boards around... some are happy on the same sync, some slowly start rolling and I gotta mess with the card. Not a big deal for me, BUT, its a horrible idea at a party, especially on a 6-1 when people don't know how to adjust and you don't want them messing up your machine.

Thanks for the replys. I might look into getting a new monitor for my gutted simpsons machine. The new lcd monitors should have auto sync.
