so I have a couple of chassis, 1 had good color but issues (not rebuilt yet) and a broken neckboard
the 2nd has cracks throughout the chassis
so I decided to swap the neckboard from #2 to #1
As I unwound all of the wires (black, white, red, brown, yellow) I decided not to rewind them onto the other chassis, I soldered them into a molex pin and then connected it to the proper place on the new chassis.
Anyway-after changing a bunch of parts (chassis #1 with new neckboard), cap kit, flyback, width coil, multiple other transistors, b+ filter cap. When I plug it in I am not getting "full" colors. The colors will not adjust at all with the pots.
I am thinking now, that maybe this neckboard has bad pots, or transistors or both.
Leading me to want to take all of the pots from teh broken neckboard and transistors and swapping them onto the new neckboard to see if I get control of my colors again.
good idea?
other ideas?
