just picked up 3 monitors with eiter no burn or tons less than ones i currently have
2 are 46xx series
1 is a go7

my ? is can i just swap the tubes into my known working monitor's (ill probaly just swap chassis boards lol less work )or will i need to change the yoke as well

meaning can i take the good tube from the go7 i got and replace the tube in my working screen burnt go7

andfor the 46xx monitors i didnt look too close but would it matter if one is say a 4600 and the other is a 4601

i guess i should at least check the yoke ohms to be shure right if so where are the points i should do this

If you are using chassis that are the same type, then it won't matter when swapping two G07's or two K4600's. Yokes do NOT need to be swapped.

Now, if you had a K4900, then you may have to swap the yoke, as there was an early version that used a different type of yoke than all the later versions.

And the K7000 series has some medium-res versions that don't look much different from the standard-res versions to the inexperienced eye. Also, the 19" and 25" versions tend to look similar, too...

cool thanks modessitt i thought so but wanted to make shure before i ended up blowing one of these new good tubes
oh and as far as the 4600's go
the one i have with a burnt t crisp tube is a 4635
and the donor tube chassis is a 4606 would these be compatible or should i ohm the tube to be safe

I've never seen a K4600 chassis of any type that used a different yoke....

As long as the neck pins and the neck width match up (In this case, 10 pin with 29mm necks), then swap away. Just be sure to keep the yolk with the chassis and the purity rings with the tube. My Centipede cabaret is living proof that you can indeed swap tubes from 4600s to G07s and vice versa.

Somebody isn't reading all of the question...
