I'm completely new to anything having to do with monitors beyond adjustments; can I replace a broken 19k4901 in my Mr. Do's Castle cabinet with a WG 19k4906 out of a JAMMA cabinet I have?

If not, what are some other monitors that could replace the 19K4901?

If so, what else is interchangeable with the 19K490x monitors?

I need to get one new 19"monitor one way or another, just trying to figure out what's interchangable between what I have now, and what I could eventually change into one of those cabinets.

Yes, you can make that swap. I am assuming that you are pulling one monitor assembly (tube, chassis, yoke, frame) for the other. The only thing that sometimes causes problems is the frame fitment.

Hey Oryk Zinyo, thanks for the info! Happen to know any other monitors that are interchangeable? Putting the monitor from one cab into another is just a temporary fix; I'd need to get SOMETHING else to go in one of the cabinets eventually.

Thanks!

Collin

Almost everything that is a 19". G07, K7000, Matsushitsa. Avoid the Nintendos, they will require color inversion and make sure the replacement monitor is standard resolution, also called CGA.

Just to mention, if the Mr. Do uses composite negative sync, you may have a problem getting the image to lock in perfectly with the K4900 using the wiring that was connected to the K4600. if so, remove the negative vertical sync wire and everything should be fine...

g07 all the way u know i have that one that needs flyback, no burn, bright colors etc.

Yeah... I'm trying to not have to mess with a flyback or cap kit, though.... Looking for a plug-and-play replacement.
