swap hor. & vert stock monitors in Universal cabs?

ok, here's the deal. I've got a Mr. Do cab with the stock toei monitor, has vert. collapse. capkit didn't help. It used an IC for vert. deflection that AFAIK is obsolete and unavailable. I think i'm at a dead end so i'm wondering if i can use the monitor out of a cosmic avenger cab. I see there's a (removable?) plywood board that the monitor is mounted on, is it as simple as rotating the board 90 degrees and installing it in the mr. do or will it require some creative carpentry?

Too bad your so far away I have the vertical tube from a cosmic alien, theres lots of chassis parts on it also but Im not sure if the board parts are any good.

You have to cut the vertical hole out of the same plywood. I did it to my Cosmic Avenger that I converted to a Mr. Do. Flynn in Green Bay has it now. Maybe he'll snap you a pic.
