SW Amplifone Collapse

I have a collapsed Amplifone in my Star Wars upright. We replaced Q15 on the Deflection board last night and it fixed the problem except the text was kind of wavy on the very top and bottom. Anyways I booted the machine today and it collapsed again. Any suggestions where to start ? Thanks!

More info.. I replaced the mpu 07 on the deflection board last night.. it worked for a while, but with jittery/shakey results at the top and bottom of the screen. This morning it diesd again..

The deflection board needs a complete recap/rebuild if it hasn't been done. Replacing one part at a time is a waste of time (and components).

Not entirely true. While caps are most likely needed - a full rebuild generally isn't. Most likely one or more of the 4 bottle cap transistors and/or it's mica insulator is bad. And the jittery issue is typically caused by a flakey/defective 10K pot on the deflection board.

@ OP - take out your deflection board and ensure you don;t have any cold solder joints. Reflow the solder to the molex header pins. Also the two large black or blue resistors that have the long wire going between them - those are infamous for cold solder joints as well.
