Suspicious eBay auctions

The same people prob, they hack multiple accounts and list to them simultaneously.

Wanted to make everyone aware of that one at least.

I did and they are back a few days later with the same item.
And keep reporting it. And note when you do it's the same pattern and what the phone number is. If it's the same phone number, they should be able to track that and block it. I know they can just change the number, but think of it this way, you're pouring sand (single handedly by the way) into their money stealing gears.

That has to give you a good feeling.

Looks like another example of the same scam. I reported the listing, we'll see if anything happens.

How the heck does someone hijack (or buy) an account with 7000+ positive feedbacks and 19k sold items? You'd think that would be hard to fake or steal.

Or maybe they're a legit surplus business. At best they're sidestepping ebay rules. But it still seems like a scam.

Just as easy to steal an older account as it is to steal a new one. Usually the accounts have been inactive for a while before these listings appear.

This 'possibly legit' business is selling @rod90 's "Shoot The Bear" game for him. Again. For, what, the fourth time this year?

All the ads are scraped from previous eBay listings. This one (https://www.ebay.com/itm/285669121091?hash=item428334dc43:g:JFsAAOSwattk0-~N) is from docpinball in Indiana.

Seriously, scam.

Well in that case more people need to report that seller, because I almost immediately got this reply from ebay. Maybe a slew of reports will trigger their fraud algorithm.

Seriously ebay, go fuck yourself, and your AI. If you can't provide a sufficient system to check and catch fraud WHEN HUMANS REPORT IT, you shouldn't exist as a site.

Wow ! New low for ebay, telling someone reporting obvious fraud to STFU ! That truly sucks.

I usually report 5 or 6 items from the seller, choose 'Avoiding Ebay fees' as the reason, and write 'Fraudulent listing, hacked account, contact information in listing' in the notes. They'll probably shut down my account soon for noticing this stuff.

EDIT: I reported several and seller's ad numbers are rapidly decreasing. Looks like they're being pulled.

EDIT TO EDIT: Apparently not ! Good job AI.

Believe it or not, that's almost exactly how I reported it. (Though I used the word 'scam'. Maybe 'fraud' would trigger their AI differently.) I only reported the one listing though. Doing more is a good idea.

They probably receive so many reports with the word 'scam', their AI doesn't even notice it anymore.

That scam listing is gone. When I reported mine, I was told that I would receive a report from E-bay on their findings both times. That never happened.

It must be really easy to put up those listings. They only stay up for a couple of hours and then they get whacked. Just like robocalls, they must be pulling in some suckers, or they would not be still doing it.

I've reported them with listing violation, offer to buy or sell outside of eBay. They get taken down with a day. YMMV

Must be a different guy. I reported the earlier one and the listing was down within minutes. This new guy is not using my pictures.
