Hello guys, I come here again for a little help with something...

Some months ago I recieved 2 arcades, one of them is Street Fighter II champion edition (loaded with the hyper fighting board), the other is one named SurfPlanet from Atari (Gaelco)...

I could only restore one of them while the other I have to thrash it... I got its board, its jamma too and it has a harness for a diferent type of controller, no problems there, however I wanted to ask 2 things

Could that board be compatible with the same arcade as the street fighter game with just changing the boards? (both monitors are horizontal too)

The board has 2 ports named "links" (as it says above) and I wanted to know what are they? Can I use them somehow? There is a picture of the ports below

Thanks a lot for any help given

Surf Planet needs the Surf Planet joystick (or something rigged up to give a compatible analog signal) in order to play. You can't just play it with the Street Fighter joysticks.

Arcade games have monitors, not TVs.

I have seen a few people who have installed the Surf Planet joystick onto the panel of another game so they can play both titles, but you would need a lot of spare room to do that.

Finally, did you keep the marquee (game title sign from the top of the machine), as I have a Surf Planet board and controller but no marquee.

Not sure about the links ports.

ha ha ha yeah sorry about the "TVs," I keep forgetting that they are monitors...

fortunately yes, I was aware that I need the external joystick for it, so I still have it, and if it works with the SFII arcade cabinet then I'm gonna use it with it..

finally, yes I kept the marquee, not in a bad condition either, however I live in Latin America and sending things from here to other parts of the world is almost impossible (if not impossible)
