Supertechnoboy's Joust Cocktail De-conversion/Restoration

I still need to pull the glass on mine to re-install instruction cards. Looking very good.

I am also jealous of your lid locking mechanism... I have 4 luggage latches and the 2 far ones are hard to get to.

Interesting. Do you think that's a change they made during production?
I think so. I noticed that @lilypad19 and @ThatArtGuy also has the luggage latches like mine. Your Serial is 616xxx and mine is 604xxx; not knowing the volume, there are probably 100-200 machines between ours? I don't know exactly how Williams was doing that back in the day. I suspect they did a run, built something else, did another run, etc...

But I also noted that your, mine, and Lilypad19 don't have lower front legs on the control panel and ThatArtGuy does... so I have no idea what Williams was doing with these machines.

When you're doing the t-molding, be sure to get your sharpest x-acto and a big-ol' can of patience. This is 1-1/4" leatherette from Outwater, with top and bottom edge trimmed down to 1". Tabs go under the metal retainers for the glass, Just like my originals. I had to make five of these to get two good ones :ROFLMAO:

Beautiful work! I just have to get some control panel work done on mine and it will hopefully be done soon, too.

Happy to see another Joust Cocktail live on!
