Supercade featured in TIME Magazine

Gone are their rockstar days of Friday beer bashes and weekend-long "gamestorming" retreats on the California coast, complete with naked hot-tub parties, fat doobies, food fights and broken furniture.

Freaking awesome...

Hi Van!

I'll be looking for the magazine tomorrow, looks cool!

R U a part of the new 'Innovative Leisure' company??

Regards,
Tom

Awesome, Van! It's great to see such talent gathered together. I can't wait to see what these brilliant minds can put together!

Thanks to all for the kind words and support.

I'll try to post a behind-the-scenes video in a little bit...

I think a lot of the app games these days are kind of similar to the old classic games. Angry Birds; etc.

WOW! It's great to see they are still alive! Not many of them have hair though, I guess I need to stop scratching my head when troubleshooting video games so I can keep my hair.

Neat. I like the style of the photos.

The photographer, Gregg Segal, was amazing. I walked in when he was shooting Ed Rotberg and nearly started crying when I saw the photo on screen. It was a very moving image. They all are.

He really knocked it out of the park...

Hi Van,

WOW! Love those photos! Kudos to you for getting something done that everyone talks about but never does.

If by chance you could hook me up with Dennis Koble I would be eternally grateful. Holding the world's record on my favorite arcade machine and then meeting the original designer would be priceless to me....

Very cool to see some of the faces behind these games. Every single game looks pristine too, very nice. I'll be sure to check out the issue tomorrow.

It was a little crazy... we were prepping games up to the moment they were being photographed.

We tried to get everything ready in advance, but some of the games for the portraits were decided on at the last minute... so we had to detail and repair them on the fly. Then some of the restored games decided to crap out that day, of course. Rip Off made it through the group shot and then the power supply gave out. Classic!

I'm happy they look so nice in the shots... that Missile Command came out of a barn.
