Its official, Superauctions is back with updates to the auction calender

MAY 10th 2011, Bridgeton, MO, tuesday night

http://www.superauctions.com/EntertainmentAuctionsAuctionCalendar.html

This is not a rumor, i didnt think it was true, but i talked to Rob Storment on the phone about an hour ago and he verified it. I dont know all the story as to what happened and such, and I am not posting this thread for people to start slamming them.

I know alot people are not happy with some of the things that have happened with the company. I for one am just happy that there will be more options. Also, for buyers, if you know how to work auctions, then there is nothing wrong with going to them anyway. If i were a seller/consignor, then i might need other assurances, but as a buyer, i will be there with cash in hand and hope to load up a trailer full

Yep, got my card in the mail for the MO auction. Sucks that preview is only 2 hours prior to the auction and its at night. Tough to make the call about a road trip.

I don't like the fact that it's a mid-week auction. With work and a 3 hour drive time both ways, it's pretty much a given that I won't be making it.

didn't they screw a shitload of people out of money?

Why because they have guns in TX?

Maybe, but it's more likely becasue they have warrants out for his arrest and he doesn't want to bunk with Big Bubba.

I just got a postcard announcing the May 14th one and just checked American Amusement Auctions and they are listing an auction on May 21st. So big pickins up in Dallas in May.

As of late all I hear is that the auctions in Dallas have been bad so why put two of them in the same area so close together. Id love to see one come down to Austin and maybe get a different look but I know that really wouldnt work. So my next thought would be Houston. You could pull more from south Texas and LA. and east Texas. I really think one of them should give it a shot.

This is great news as Shawn told us he's never coming to Wisconsin again:)

I would love to see an auction in Houston. It would definitely pull the South Louisiana crowd

It seems to be bad business sense to have auctions a week apart in the same building.

He sure did...3 years ago...2 years ago...last year...last year again. :)

That's another one of their handy dandy quotes-

"we won't be coming back here again- not at THESE prices"

All reasons why I question whether or not I'm going. Maybe things will improve since they have "restructured the firm", but Ill believe that when I see it. Bridgeton saves me about an hour each way so Ill sacrifice a Tuesday for that. Just not sure I want to at this point.

the auctions in texas being a week apart was not a business decission either auction
company would want to do. It is 2 different auctions fighting for the same market.
American Amusement auctions has had this date listed for about 2 months or more.
Zuber auctions just anounced about a week ago of their auction 1 week before
the other auction. I guess the idea is if one of them can hurt the other, then one may go away and leave the market open for the other.

They sure did - at least temporarily.

I was one of those who sold at their last Belleville auction and received no payment. I had written off that money and, as such, was one of the most vocal detractors when their name got brought up.

I did receive my money from them just this week. They sent a letter of apology along with an offer to sell at their upcoming auctions with no costs or fees. I am still a little raw about the fact that they took so long to get me my check, but I can say I am impressed that they are attempting to make things right for those who had to wait so long for their money.

That said, I hate when they do the mid-week auctions. There's no way I can make it, which I'm sure is the case for a lot of people. However, that probably means there will be some deals to be had for those who do go.

I too sold at the Belleville auction and had to threaten to turn it over to legal action. Not a ton of money they owed me but I did sell 2 games and after the 4 hour drive one way and 4 hours back, not to mention the gas money I was out about a grand. I was made promises and most of my phone calls were never returned. Probably left 10 messages. My last message almost 4 months later was my legal action message and low and behold I got an immediate reply from Rob saying that my money will be sent via a cashiers check. I also sold a couple of pieces at the Indianapolis auction they held and it also took a lot of phone calls from me to get my money. Indianapolis money only took 2 months to get. One more note, I noticed BJ (I think that is the african american guys name) (He is the one that really got wasted at the Belleville auction and couldn't even write the bidder number on the games after they were auctioned off) Anyway, BJ was at the last Auction Games Sales auction in Kingsport, TN buying the hell out of stuff. Wouldn't surpprise me if his stuff doesn't show up at the next super auctions sale and I bet he bids it way up. Super Auctions have a lot to prove before I will attend or even think about selling at one of their events again. Word to the wise

I also sold at the last Belleville and have yet to be paid. I called every day for a couple weeks and could never get through to Rob, nor have a single call returned. I was polite and professional and never yelled or made threats. Perhaps I should have.

The thing that pisses me off (pardon my language) more than anything is that at the last Indy auction, I handed Rob over $6000 in CASH for the games I was buying. Then that jerk won't mail me the measly $350 he owes me from Belleville? Really? you have to be kidding. You can be darn sure I'll be at Bridgeton.
